Clio Sport Engine Manual

This 2003 Renault Clio V-6 Sport is an iconic “pocket-rocket” built by the world-renowned Tom Walkinshaw Racing organization that has been legally imported into the United States. This street-legal Renault Clio V-6 Sport is the spiritual successor to the immensely successful Renault R5 Turbo, the scourge of Group B Rallying back in its heyday.

Based on the econobox Renault Clio with its inline 4-cylinder engine and front-wheel-drive, the entire architecture of the car has been radically transformed to an amidships V-6 engine placement with rear-wheel-drive. The Clio V-6 Sport is essentially a mildly detuned version of its race-car brethren that ran in the Clio Cup, a single-marque and intensely competitive road-racing series popular throughout Europe. The 3.0L V-6 engine—sourced from Peugeot/Citroen—has been tuned to produce 247 HP and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension and chassis have been recalibrated for ultimate road-holding and cornering capability with a lowered ride-height and wide low-aspect-ratio tires mounted on 17-inch wheels. The body has been altered with widened front and rear fenders, side air scoops, revised rocker panes and new front and rear fascia panels. This is a serious performance machine with a top speed of 150 MPH and blistering acceleration. To homologate the Clio V-6 Sport as a production car, a total of 2,800 examples were made from 2001-05. This is a Phase 1 car, one of approximately 1,500 built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing during model-years 2001-03.

Renault Clio Sport

This Clio V-6 Sport presents beautifully in Silver Metallic with a French Blue interior and has fewer than 18,000 kilometers, or 11,185 miles, on the odometer. Fresh out of a private collection, this car has undergone a recent major service and is fitted with a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
