There are often questions about Keystone not providing warranty coverage for the OEM tires on their trailers. This new Owner's manual has an answer, as did earlier editions. Probably because just about all Keystone Trailers in model years 2005 & 2006 had LT235/85R16E tires on 6000# axles. Some of them were Uniroyal, a Michelin owned tire builder. Some time after the trailers with those tires were all sold there was a major recall for that Uniroyal tire. Because there were not enough Uniroyal's to go around Michelin provided some of their name brand tires to replace the Uniroyal's. Some of you may still have those trailers and replaced the Michelin tires with other Michelin tires.
Do-It-Yourselfers - including me - make sure you register your replacement tires. It's the safest way to insure you will be contacted should a recall be called on them.
